Friends of the Elderly are putting out a national wide call for photographic portaits of senior citizens for their second annual exhibition called 'Good Old Heads'. This year's theme is 'Young at Heart', so we are looking for close up shots of older people and younger people together. It will take place at the Central Library, ILAC Centre, Dublin 1, from the 20th April to the 25th April. Admission is free.
The charity organisation is asking all amateur photographers to send us 'head and shoulder' photographs of an older and younger people together for consideration by our panel.
Friends of the Elderly hope that this exhibition will allow the art of the photographer to show the older person in a positive light, enjoying the company of a younger person and encourage more communication between the young and old.
Prizes and Certificates will be awarded on Monday 20 April. Deadline for photographs is Thursday 9th April. For more details contact Dermot Kirwan at Friends of the Elderly, 25 Bolton Street, Dublin 1 at 01 8731855. Alternatively e-mail: dkirwan@friendsoftheelderly.ie or check our website at www.friendsoftheelderly.ie
