Landscape photography group?
Anyone interested in setting up an ad hoc landscape photography group? It could bring club members with a specific interest in landscape photography together to share knowledge, etc. and maybe even go on some ad hoc field trips over the coming months? Could be fun!?

Photoshoot anyone?
Maybe we should get the ball rolling before interest fades? Should we put our heads together and have a meeting of some sort or maybe organise an ad hoc photoshoot over the coming weeks?
Following on from John's suggestion here's a list of popular local spots, courtesy of Pat Halton, that may inspire us to get out and about?
In no particular order, Pat has given the following suggestions as possible places to shoot: Birr Castle & Gardens; Belvedere House & Gardens; Lough Key Forest Park; Lough Boora Parklands; Portumna Forest Park; Slieve Blooms; Ashton's Callow Birdhide; Clara Bog (for summer flora); Glasson Golf Club; Coosan Point (view of Hare island); Strokestown House & Gardens; St John's Woods, Kiltoom; Bishop's Island, Clonfert; and last but not least Portlick Woods.
If anyone knows of any other good locations- do share!

Re: Landscape photography group?
Another interesting place to take photos would be the beach of Doolin, in county Clare.
The views of the cliffs of Moher or more spectacular from my point of view the cracking
surface of the beach itself, characteristic of the burren area.
